The life of French footballer and manager, Nicholas Anelka, is set to be aired by Netflix and is titled ‘Misunderstood Anelka’.
Nicholas Anelka was one of the most toured football player having played for 13 teams all over the world (spent more years in England with Premier League sides).
The forward was known for his ability to score and assist goals as well as scoring crucial goals for both club and country.
Anelka had his controversial moments during his playing career. The biggest of his controversies came in the 2010 World cup in South Africa.
The lanky forward told the national team coach, Raymond Domenech ”Go F.ck yourself you son of a whore” during the team’s loss to 2-0 loss to Mexico. He was handed 18-match ban which ended his International playing career.
Netflix UK has announced the release of footballer, Nichola Anelka’s documentary titled ‘Misunderstood Anelka’.
The documentary is to reveal the story and life of the French striker who played for many teams in Europe among which is Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, PSG, Juventus, and so on.
‘Misunderstood Anelka’ features interview from Anelka’s teammates and manager. This includes Arsene Wenger, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Petit, Paul Pogba and the man himself (Anelka).
The documentary is set to be released on 5th of August, 2020 by Netflix.
