NECO Announces New Date to Start 2020 SSCE

The National Examinations Council, (NECO) has announced the commencement date for the 2020 Secondary School Certificate Examination, SSCE, for external students.

According to the statement released by the council’s Spokesperson, Azeez Sani, on Tuesday, the 2020 SSCE will no longer start on Monday, February 1, 2021, as earlier scheduled.

According to the statement, Monday, February 8, 2021, is the new date for the commencement of the 2021 SSCE.

The statement also added that the examinations would end on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

The statement reads in parts; “The Council hereby informs those candidates, who missed some papers during the 2020 SSCE (Internal) due to the ENDSARS protests in some states, to take note of these new dates and report for the examination accordingly at their various examination centers to be designated.”

The examination was earlier scheduled to end on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, but will not be extending beyound that date.

Considering the new change, all candidates are enjoined to check the new time table for the examinations.
