10 New NCDC Guidelines For Reopening Worship Centres
Whilst the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has hinted about the possibility of getting vaccines for the for the novel coronavirus stressing that some clinical trials have shown promising results in laboratory studies.
The Director General of NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, however, stated that to obtain accurate results from these clinical trials will take time.
According to him, some trials have shown promising results in laboratory studies but have not yet been proven in humans. He said the best option for now is to avoid self-medication as it my mmay lead to complications and death.
Dr. Ihekweazu, explained that since there is currently no specific treatments or preventative therapeutic strategies for the Coronavirus pandemic, people with the disease can benefit from supportive care.
He also added that cases can be managed to recovery if symptoms are reported early,particularly for people with underlying health conditions.
