NCDC Advises COVID-19 Survivors On What To Do

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has advised COVID-19 survivors on the need to adhere strictly to all the Coronavirus protocols.

The agency in a tweet on Saturday stated that there is currently not enough evidence to suggest that COVID-19 survivors become immune after recovery.

NCDC in the tweet advised both survivors and those who have not tested positive for the virus to observe physical distancing and also wash their hands frequently with soap and water.

Earlier, the agency has announced that Nigeria has recorded 329 new cases of Coronavirus bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 48, 445 as of August 14.

Out of the newly recorded cases, Lagos state has 113, Kaduna has 49, FCT-33, Plateau-24 hile Kano has 16.

Others are Edo-15, Ogun-14, Delta-13, Osun-10, Oyo-8, Ekiti-6, Bayelsa-6, Akwa Ibom-5, Borno-4 and Enugu with 4 new cases.

Also, Ebonyi has 3 new cases, Rivers-2, Bauchi-1, Nasarawa-1, Gombe-1 and 1 case in Niger state.

According to the NCDC, 35,998 persons have been discharged with 973 deaths so far adding that the discharges on Friday include 1,325 community recoveries over the last two weeks reported from Lagos State in line with new case management guidelines.
