Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim has been granted time to file his appeal within 14 days by the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos State.
Ibrahim had brought an application for an extension of time to file his appeal before the court.
Therefore, the appellate court granted his prayer, giving him 14 days to file his appeal.
In his reaction to the ruling, Jimoh Ibrahim expressed happiness over the ruling, assuring that the court ruling would promptly comply as he would file the appeal on Monday.
In a statement he made available to the newsmen, JimohIbrahim alleged that the social media wrongly communicated the court’s decision by AMCON.
He, therefore, commended the court for granting him the extension, adding that he would ensure to submit a timely application to get matters treated in due course.
Meanwhile, if Jimoh fails to appeal, he would lose assets like the building of NICON Investment Limited at Plot 242, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Central Business District, Abuja; NICON Hotels Limited building at Plot 557, Port-Harcourt Crescent, off Gimbiya Street, Abuja and the building of NICON Lekki Limited at No. 5, Customs Street, Lagos, among several others.
