Share

Nigerian popular cross- dresser, Idris Okuneye also known as Brobrisky has regained a conditional release from Police custody after he was arrested for an alleged N30 million fraud.

The notice of his release was given by the Nigeria Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Frank Mba.

According to him, though Brobirsky has regained his freedom, he is still under investigation over the alleged fraud for which he was earlier arrested.

Mba while confirming that Brobrisky has been granted bail noted that though he has been released from police custody, the case has not been closed yet.

“We have granted him bail because of the lockdown and we are also mindful of the people we take into custody but the case is still under investigation.”

It would be recalled that Brobrisky was arrested yesterday after a yet-to-be named business woman lodged a complain, alleging him of defrauding her of the sum of N30 million.

According to report, he was trailed by police officers who effected his arrest at a salon in Lekki, Lagos State.

This however is not the first time he would be arrested by officers of the Nigerian police Force.

When the news of his arrest went viral with the reason for his arrest unknown, many insinuated that he was arrested for breaking the curfew imposed by the state government in order to nip the further spread of coronavirus in the state.
