Mysterious Disease Kills 15 In 2 Delta Communities

A mysterious disease has claimed about 15 lives in Ute-Okpu and Idumuesah communities in Delta State.

It was gathered that the people killed by the ravaging disease are between 18 to 25 years.

However, the Delta State Government has assured residents that it would curb the disease.

The Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr Mordi Ononye said the state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has ordered an immediate investigation to identify the cause of the disease

The Commissioner revealed this when he led a team of public health officials to Ute Okpu.

However, he advised members of the community and residents of the State to observe good hygiene.

Onoye reiterated the need for residents of the state to properly cover their food and cut the grasses around their surroundings.

Speaking, the Obi of Ute Okpu, HRM Obi Solomon Chukwuka thanked Governor Okowa for sending health expert to the community.
