Multiple Lives Lost in Plateau State, Simon Lalong Reacts

Simon Lalong, the incumbent Governor of Plateau State, has reacted to the multiple killings of the state residents during an attack carried out in the early hours of Friday 26.

The attack happened on Ta’agbe village of Miango District in Bassa Local Government Council, where several persons, including children, were killed and houses burnt.

In a press release obtained from the Government House, Governor Lalong described the latest attack as another sad incident as clearly the handiwork of criminals bent on instilling fear, pain, and sorrow among the people.

He noted that the assailants carried the dastardly act intending to destabilise the State, making a fortune from their criminality, and rupturing the substantial peace attained.

He condemned the invasion, stressing that no explanation can justify it, directing security agencies to take immediate and drastic steps to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they pay for their crimes.
