The organizers of the Big Brother Naija show, MultiChoice, has announced some changes ahead of the BBNaija season scheduled to commence on Saturday, July 24.
According to the Organizers, fans of the show will vote for their favourite housemates for free on the official website and App instead of the usual SMS voting to allow more inclusive participation for fans outside Nigeria.
Martin Mabutho, Multichoice Head of Marketing, announced the new developments ahead of the 6th edition. According to Mabutho, all voting would be conducted online and through the DStv and GOtv mobile applications.
Also, Bisola Tejumola, Multichoice Head of Content West Africa, said the show would have a new feature in the House, two new currencies, and housemates.
Viewers in the diaspora would enjoy an exclusive offer on Showmax, and the live shows will adopt the Lockdown season style in line with COVID-19 safety measures. The organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality show, BBNaija, had announced that the BBNaija season 6 would run for 72 days – between July 24 to October 3.
