Popular Instagram Comedian and skit maker Debo Adedayo also known as Mr Macaroni, has spoken up after missing out on an award to his colleague Ọga Sabinus at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Sabinus, christened Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu, also known as Mr Funny, took home the award for the ‘Best Online Content Creator’ at the just concluded AMVCA on Saturday.

This development was met with different reactions from supporters and followers; while some felt it was deserving, others thought otherwise.

A displeased tweep with the name Daniel Regha wrote, “Sabinus winning the AMVCA award for “Best Online Social Content Creator” is a big joke, no one deserves that recognition more than Macaroni.

“Y’all can hype Sabinus all u want but Macaroni is doing more with his skits than other comedians right now. Sabinus won out of favorit!sm…” he clamoured.

Responding to the tweet, Mr Macaroni defended his colleague while recognising his versatility, noting he has also featured him in his previous skits.

Mr Macaroni tweeted“Sabinus winning the AMVCA Award is very well deserved!! He has brought joy and laughter to the faces of millions including mine. I have also had the pleasure of featuring him in about 3 of my contents. I share in his win. Please let us not ruin this beautiful moment.”

Sabinus responding to his win, tweeted, “Thanks to God Almighty, Thanks to my fans, I’m grateful to everyone that helped me get to this point. Thank you Lagos State for having a Port Harcourt Boy.”
