Mr Eazi Announces Release of Omah Lay and Tems
Popular Nigerian musician, Mr Eazi has taken to his twitter page to announce the release of his industry colleagues, Omah Lay and Tems. In addition to their release, all charges against them have been dropped.
Recall that on Sunday, both artistes were arrested in Uganda after their concert in the country. according to the Ugandan authorities, they were guilty of flouting the COVID-19 protocols that prohibited concerts and other large gatherings to contain the spread of the virus.
Since their arrest, their colleagues and other heavy lifters in Nigeria have tried their possible best to get them out of prison but it proved really difficult seeing how adamant Uganda was.
Some Uganda citizens and music acts have also seized this opportunity to blast the Nigerian artistes over this mishap especially since they were not allowed to perform. Others however, felt that the Ugandan government were corrupt and hypocritical as the current President held a political rally for his re-run days before the concert.
Moments ago, Mr Eazi confirmed that the efforts to ensure Omah Lay and Tems release are successful as they have been let off. He shared the good news on his twitter page.
