English Premier League newcomers Watford have completed the signing of Tottenham and France midfielder Moussa Sissoko in a deal worth around £3m. The 32-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Hornets.
Moussa Sissoko played 202 games for Tottenham Hotspurs after joining them from Newcastle United in August 2016 and played a crucial role in helping the club to the Champions League final in 2019. Speaking on his signing, Watford head coach Xisco Munoz said: “He is a very good player, and I think he would be very good for us.”
Watford travels to Tottenham on Sunday (14:00) after winning their opening game against Newcastle United and losing the second one 3-0 to Brighton. They have so far recorded one win and one loss in the 2021/22 English Premier League season.
