Michael Scofield Quits ‘Prison Break’ Series For Weird Reason

American actor, Wenthworth Miller, popularly known as Michael Scofield in the movie series, Prison Break has officially quit the series.

Prison Break’, a Fox series aired from 2006 to 2009 with a planned comeback in 2017.

Wenthworth Miller, who played the lead role in the series has announced that he has to stop because he can no longer play the character of a straight man.

Michael Scofield said he won’t be returning in any future revival of the series as he is done playing straight characters (as he is gay).

The actor thanked his fans on Instagram after declaring: “I’m out. Of PB. Officially. I just don’t want to play straight characters. 

Reacting to his announcement, he wrote “Am I saying gay actors (gay men, specifically) should only play gay parts? No. I was speaking for myself.

“That said, do I want to see more gay parts played by gay actors? Yes” he added.

The actor’s Prison Break co-stars shared their support for his decision.
