Famous Nigerian rapper, Jude Abaga, popularly known as MI Abaga, has charged Nigerians to get their permanent voters cards, PVC ahead of the 2023 elections. The singer made the call following what he described as his first-hand experience in a Nigerian police station.
MI Abaga, who revealed that he spent two hours in the police station, expressed concerns about working conditions, mental conditioning and dilapidation.
The rapper noted that Nigerians have a lot of work to ensure that the country is fixed but must start preparing for the next general elections by getting their pvc’s.
Another Nigerian singer, Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, had earlier charged Nigerians to see the necessity of getting their PVC and take part in the 2023 elections to change the current situation of things in the country.
Falz stated this when he raised the alarm over what he described as the plan by the National Assembly to increase campaign expenses in the new electoral bill ahead of the 2023 elections.
In a post on Instagram, Falz urged his followers to call their lawmakers representing their constituencies to reject the new electoral bill.
He alleged that the National Assembly had increased the campaign expenses for President from 1 billion naira to 15 billion, increased the costs for the Governorship campaign from 200 million naira to 5 billion naira; they also increased the fees for Senate campaign from 40 million naira to 1.5 billion naira.
Falz added that the campaign expenses for the House of Representatives had been increased from30 million naira to 500 million naira. In comparison, the Senate also increased the campaign expenses for State House of Assembly from 10 million naira to 50 million naira.
According to him, the Lawmakers know their time is up, and they are trying all possible means to prepare the ground ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
