Meet ‘Citation’ Film Cameraman That Joined US Army

The assistant cameraman on set of the newly released ‘Citation‘ film by Kunle Afolayan, Yinka Adewale has teamed up with the US Army.

Yinka Adewale, gained her Masters Degree in Film and Media production from The New York Film Academy. She then made her debut in the Netflix original movie, ‘Citation’.

She worked alongside the award winning Director of Photography, Jonathan Kovel in the Kunle Afolayan produced movie, Citation.

Yinka Adewale is said to be embodied with diligence and dedication while on set of the Nollywood movie.

The young Nigerian who had called shots behind the scene is now a member of the US Army.

In January 2020, she took her oath of enlistment in California as a Specialist in the army. The cameraman turned soldier took to her Instagram page and share the news with the caption, “Today, I am somebody nobody thought I could be.

“A great motivation for everyone out there… you can always be whoever you choose to be!” she added.

SPC Yinka Adewale, a member of the Kunle Afolayan Production (KAP) had call shots for the likes of Ini Edo, Gabriel Afolayan, Temi Otedola and co on set.

The young Nigerian who made her debut in Citation as an assistant cameraman is now in the US Army, making us proud as she lives her dreams.
