The most played song in Nigeria today is ‘Betty Butter’ by DMW artist, Mayorkun. The new single featuring label boss, Davido is topping music charts since it’s release.
The visuals of the hit song have also been released by the artist and it was another masterpiece by the DMW recordwith appearance from Dremo, Father DMW, B-Red and other members of Davido’s 30BG.
‘Mayor of Lagos‘ as he’s fondly called has also shared the inspiration behind ‘Betty Butter‘ produced by serial hitmaker, Speroachz Beats via his Twitter post.
The ‘Of Lagos‘ crooner said the new song was inspired by a friend whose name is Bettie Faraday. She said to be a professional makeup artist who is very good at her job.
This has now made Mayorkun to put a contest where a million naira would be given as cash prize.
His tweet reads ”My friend @BettieFaraday, actually inspired my new song ‘Betty Butter’, she’s a professional make up artist and amazing to say the least … Share your make up videos with the hashtag #BettyButter, she’ll pick her favorite and we’ll give out 1M’‘
An instructional video of the contest featuring Bettie and Mayorkun has been posted on his social media platforms. It is left for make up artists to join the contest and win the cash prize of one million naira.
