Matchday 10 English Premier League Games

Matchday 10 EPL resume with Brendan Rodger men traveling to the St. Mary Stadium on Friday looking to keep their impressive start to the season. Other games will follow on Saturday before late games in the EPL will come up on Sunday. English teams that participated in the European league did well to win in their various games but can replicate their win in the league? A question that can only be answered after 90minutes of play. Over here we will be giving the match build-up for various teams and make predictions.

Southampton vs Leicester City

Leicester City will be traveling to the St. Mary’s Stadium on Friday to Southampton to extend their League exploits. The two teams seem to have entirely different ambitions in the 2019/2020 Premier League season. The Saints are eager to secure yet another top-flight survival, whilst the Foxes are eyeing a place in European competitions. Following three consecutive defeats in the English Premier League, the Saints shared the spoils with Wolverhampton in their last game.

Brendan Rodgers’s troops, on the other hand, bounced back from a 2-1 loss to league leaders Liverpool, by beating Burnley 2-1 at home ground on Matchday 9. The Foxes have proven to be ready to take on any team, they a good side to reckoned with at home. But they will be playing Southampton at home, given the home side poor form, we believe that they can’t spoil the fun for the visitors. A man to watch in the away team will be experienced attacker Jamie Vardy, who has scored six goals already in the season.

Manchester City vs Aston Villa

Manchester City is in desperate need of consistency in winning so as to close up with the league contender Liverpool. Their last win over Crystal Palace has added more confidence to their team, they will be looking to build on the victory as they welcome Aston Villa. Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus proved a handful in their last game as scored the opener for his team. Pep Guardiola might be using both strikers when they play Aston Villa on Matchday 10, Sergio Kun Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, did well to come from behind to win ten-man Brighton at their Villa Park in their last game. They will be facing a much better side when they travel to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday in EPL Matchday 10 encounter. The Citizens are eager to close down on Liverpool’s gap in the Premier League standings. The Villans are not regarded as good travelers and they are unlikely to spoil Man City’s party at Etihad Stadium.

Burnley vs Chelsea

Chelsea will be banking on last weekend win and also the Champions League away win over Ajax to travel to Turf Moor Stadium. The Blues gave a hard-fight against Newcastle United at their Stamford Bridge on Matchday 9. Thanks to Marcos Alonso’s goal to salvage the day for Frank Lampard and his team, extending their winning run in all competitions to five games. The Blues are determined to secure yet another top-four finish. Frank Lampard is doing a great job with the Chelsea team which is dominated by young players.

The Clarets are good side at home, they won Norwich City and Everton at their Turf Moor Stadium in their last two home games. But they will be hosting a stronger side on Saturday in Matchday 10, the away side is brimming with confidence ahead of the trip to Burnley. Our prediction will be away win either half of the game.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

Emirates Stadium will host local derby between Arsenal and Crystal Palace in Matchday 10. The two teams are placed side by side in the league table with one point separating them. The Gunners are eyeing a top-four finish in the league, their last home win to both Bournemouth and Aston Villa has added advantage to them. Arsenal was able to come from behind to win in their Europa clash and are looking to build on that the win the London derby.

The Eagles, on the other hand, failed to prove a point when they played Man City as they lost (0-2) at the weekend. Unai Emery’s men are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we are tempted to put our money on the home side. A player to watch in the home team will be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has scored seven goals already. In their last meeting at Emirates Stadium, Crystal Palace defeated Arsenal 3-2, meaning that the hosts are hungry for revenge. We believe both teams will score (G-G)

Liverpool vs Tottenham

Liverpool and Tottenham face each other at Anfield on Matchday 10 in what is expected to be the most exciting game of Sunday’s program. The Reds dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at the weekend. Mohamed Salah who was missed in their last draw to Manchester United will be back to face the Spurs side which struggling with form. Jurgen Klopp’s men might just return to winning ways this weekend.

The Reds aim to keep their 100% record at home in the 2019/2020 Premier League season intact. Spurs did well to thrash their opponent in the Champions League, but could that be the return of their form? After 90minutes we will know about that. Tottenham has not won Liverpool at Anfield in their last nine games. We believe that there is a big value in betting on the league leaders.

The situation in the Spurs dressing room is alarming ahead of the trip to Liverpool. Mauro Pochettino’s troops will be able to spoil the fun for the league leaders. The home side will want to return to winning ways after 1-1 draw with Manchester United. While the visitors will be looking to end their two-game winless run in the league on Matchday 10.

Norwich vs Manchester United

Manchester United was on the verge of beating their bitter rivals Liverpool at their Old Trafford. The Reds eventually scored a late equalizer. They ended up sharing the spoil with rival Liverpool.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s troops won their last away match in Europa which will add to the morale of the team. They travel to Norwich to extend their away win and rejoin the race for a place in European competitions. Sunday’s football match against Norwich City could be the turning point for the visitors.

Marcus Rashford, who found the net in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool, and Anthony Martial are back from injury adding to the attack line. The Canaries, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form and since they failed to find the net in three of their last four league fixtures, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the away team.

Newcastle United vs Wolverhampton, Predictions: Over 1.5

Watford vs Bournemouth, Predictions: Over 2.5

Brighton vs Everton, Predictions: Over 1.5
