Manchester United striker, Mason Greenwood sets new record at the club after featuring in Thursday’s Europa League clash at Roma which saw them advance to the final of the competition for this season.

The Red Devils lost 3-2 on the night, but reached the final with a superior 8-5 score on aggregate.

Greenwood sets new record for appearances

At just 19 years and 217 days, England international Greenwood made his 100th appearance under the management and guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

In doing so, he is now the youngest ever Englishman and third-youngest player overall to reach 100 appearances for Manchester United.

In the list of top five youngest players to play 100 games for United, Greenwood is now placed above club legends Ryan Giggs and Duncan Edwards.

However, he is behind Norman Whiteside, who achieved the feat before his 19th birthday, while in second place is club icon George Best, who achieved the mark in 49 fewer days than Greenwood.
