Nigerian media personality and actress, Toke Makinwa, via her Twitter page has shared her thought concerning marriage.
The yet-to-be-married OAP is known for commenting on several issues in the society and has discussed topics concerning relationships and marriage which has got her fans and followers talking.
Toke Makinwa believes married couples should have the right to renew their marriages or not after a certain period.
The message on her Twitter thread @Tokstarr reads ‘‘I think marriage should have an expiry and subject to renewal clause after a certain number of years, like the way we renew agreements, people should be allowed to look back on time in, grade themselves and hit the renewal button if they can still stand each other”
The 35-year-old vlogger, lifestyle entrepreneur and author, however, gave kudos to those who have stayed in marriage for longer periods.
In her words ‘‘Each time I see people who’ve been married for 10 years and more, I can’t lie I respect them BIG, for holding it together and not losing it, it is a lot of work and I wish many people were more honest about that journey’‘
