Manchester United was able to hold the strong force from Chelsea as they forced the Londoners to a 1-1 draw. United prepared for the arrival of their interim manager Ralf Rangnick by with the draw.

Manchester United Earned a Draw with Chelsea without Ronaldo

Manchester United caretaker manager Michael Carrick started the game without their star player Cristiano Ronaldo and used the hero of their last Champions League game Jadon Sancho. The risk played out well for that visitors Sancho registered his first English Premier League goal.

Sancho pounced on poor control from Chelsea skipper Jorginho to race clear and beat Edouard Mendy with a composed finish after the hosts had dominated possession. Chelsea was stung into action and Jorginho made amends for his error when he equalized from the spot in the 69th minute after Aaron Wan-Bissaka fouled Thiago Silva in the penalty box.

United survived in relative comfort apart from a big late chance for Antonio Rudiger. The draw means Chelsea is now just one point above defending champions Manchester City win won West Ham United while Manchester United return to the eight place position with 18 pointa.

The Manchester club is expected to announce the signing of a new head coach who will be with the club till the end of the season. The draw is not a bad result for United as they have been having very different time under their former manager Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer, it is now two games with Carrick in charge and no loss he has won one and drew one.
