Manchester City Win PSG to Finish Top of Group A

Manchester City sealed their passage into the next stage of the Uefa Champions League Group A leaders with sweet fight-back as they came from behind to beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City dominated the opening 45 minutes of the game but could not find their back of the net.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris St-Germain defence was able to hold the pressure from the English hosts. The game became more interesting when Newcastle United and Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for the visitors in the 50th minute of the game.

However, City stormed back as Raheem Sterling scored the equaliser in the 63rd minute of the game through Gabriel Jesus’ pass. The Brazilian also found the back of the net in the 76th minute to complete the come-back.

The victory saw Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City top Group A with one game left to play, while PSG is also through despite the loss in Manchester because of Club Brugge’s 5-0 defeat at the hands of RB Leipzig.
