Man Hires Assassins To Rob, Kill His Boss
A 47-year-old security guard identified as Adamu Ibrahim has been arrested by officers of the Ogun state Police command for allegedly conniving with area boys to rob and kill his boss.
Adamu who works at inspiration fuel station located in Matogun, Agbado, Ifo LGA of Ogun state was arrested after the boys he hired to murder his station’s manager turned on him and reported the issue to the police.
Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP), Abimbola Oyeyemi said in a statement released on Sunday that the accused reached out to the two street boys identified as Ajibola Yusuf and Bakare Ifakayode to rob his manager of the N3 million in his possession and kill him after to remove all traces of the crime.
According to the reports given by the two boys, Adamu gave them a vivid description of his boss, the motorcycle he will be riding in and ash asked them to ensure he is dead before the lev the crime scene.
After being detained, the suspect confessed to the crime saying that he mistook the two boys he reached out to as robbers who had attacked the station previously and he thought they would be interested in giving robbery a go again for his benefit.
DSP Oyeyemi confirmed that the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun ordered the transfer of the suspect, Adamu Ibrahim to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigations to be carried out.
