Man City and Man Utd. Clash in Carabao Cup 2nd Leg Semifinals

Man City were able to thrash United in front of their home fans the last time they met in the Carabao Cup. Manchester United will now be returning that favor to the Citizens fans as they travel to face Manchester City in the Etihad Stadium. City will be looking to defend their two-goal lead in the Carabao Cup tie against their bitter rivals Manchester United.

The Citizens head into the match following a 4-0 FA Cup win over ten-man Fulham where Pep Guardiola rested key attacker Sergio Aguero. Both Aguero and De Bruyne return to the starting XI, meaning that the hosts should look sharp in front of goal in the return leg. The Red Devils thrashed Tranmere 6-0 in the FA Cup at the weekend with Harry Maguire scoring his first goal in United shirt.

They will be aiming to set a comeback when they take on Man City in the League Cup semis, second leg. Marcus Rashford remains in the recovery room ahead of the match. Manchester United Defeated Man City at Etihad Stadium earlier this season and they will be aiming to repeat that same victory now.

Playing without key players for the United side is one major concern for their fans. The likes of Paul Pogba, Scott McTomimay and the team’s leading goal scorer Marcus Rashford due to injury. United will now be relying on young players just like they did in the Champions League last season against PSG.

Man City on the other hand have all their players intact and have nothing to fear for. Argentine striker and Belgium midfielder are all set for the Wednesday clash. Manchester United should be worried about the opponents’ attack with Bernardo Silva, Mahrez Aguero and Gabriel Jesus all fit ahead of the clash. With Marcus Rashford out of the game, Man City will have French International to watch Anthony Martial.

An exciting game is excepted tonight but judging from the fact that United are low on Players we are sure it will affect their confidence. An away win can’t be considered since they are playing away from home. Our prediction will be home win. Man City will take all three points from the encounter.
