Makinde Donates N10 Million To Victims Of Sasa Market Inferno
The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has commiserated with victims of Sasa market inferno which affected some shops in Akinyele Local Government Area of the Ibadan.
The governor, who was accompanied by the Caretaker Chairman of Akinyele Local Government among other top government functionaries, said the state will rebuild the affected shops.
Meanwhile, he also vowed to donate N10 Million to help in rebuilding the market.
Makinde, who described the inferno as an unfortunate incident, also assured that the Oyo State Government would find ways to cushion the effects of the inferno on the victims.
However, Makinde blamed the fire incidents on the dry season as he also advised residents of the state to be careful and watch out for fire incidents.
It was gathered that the governor later visited the Palace of Seriki Sasa, Sarkin Saba, Sardaunan Yamma.
