Makinde Discloses Plan To Mandate Face Mask In Oyo

Governor, Seyi Makinde has disclosed his administration’s plan to mandate the use of face mask in Oyo State.

Makinde, who disclosed this in a post on his official Twitter handle described it as one of the measures to contain the further spread of Coronavirus in the state.

We will roll out palliatives for the poorest of the poor within a week. 

We are also working on a law to make the wearing of masks in public compulsory, as one of the measures to slow down the spread of the virus.

Earlier in another tweet, the Governor has disclosed the amount of money received through the State Endowment Fund for COVID-19.

We appreciate those who’ve donated to the State Endowment Fund for COVID-19. We’ve received nearly N200M in cash & various food items.

Finally, we’re also looking at local solutions to boost immunity based on expert opinion, as part of home-grown solutions to deal with COVID-19.
