Major General Adeniyi of the Nigerian Army who previously appeared in a video exposing the deficiencies of the Army in fighting insurgency in the Northeast has been redeployed. Major General Adeniyi led his troops in a major repel against Boko Haram insurgents. He spoke in a video about how Boko Haram fighters attacked his troops. He said they had up to 15 gun trucks and fired over a hundred rockey propelled grenades. Some other officers of the troop confirmed his narrative.
However, a few days after the reveal, he has just been redeployed the theatre command in the North-east which he headed to the army research centre in Maiduguri.
Currently, Major General F. Yahaya has been appointed to lead the Boko Haram war as theatre commander of operation Lafiya Dole.
Backing this up, the Nigerian Army has released new postings and appointments for some senior officers.
