Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti has insisted that his side Napoli is going for the Serie A title this season. The Partenopei are two points behind leaders AC Milan. Napoli dropped to two points after losing 3:2 to Fiorentina at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday.
The manager Luciano Spalletti said: “We must focus on our possibilities and what awaits us in the remaining weeks of the season.” He also said: “It would be ridiculous at this point not to admit that it’s us, Milan, Inter, and Juventus in the title race. We’ll have it out between ourselves, but dealing with the pressure is simple because we know the professionals we are working with now.”
Before the game, the manager said if they came that far despite everything they have been through, it means the squad is reliable. If they can beat Atalanta despite missing several big players, that means something. He said they will go out to prove a point but it did not go the way he planned it as they fall to the third-place position after they lose 3-2 at home to Fiorentina.
