Britain Loses Trust in Truss, as UK Prime Minister Resigns

Finally, the United Kingdom, Liz Truss, UK Prime Minister resigns, following doubts expressed by the British Government on her ability to uplift their economy from collapse.

Shockingly, the UK Prime Minister‘s resignation makes the third British leader to quit in the last three years, after former Prime Ministers Theresa May (2019) and Boris Johnson (2022).

Even after she announced her resignation on Thursday 20, 2022, she would still stand as the incumbent UK PM until after a week.

Hopefully, by Friday 28, the British Government would commence the procedure to install her replacement as plans are already in place for the transition.

It was a shame how she wasn’t truly allowed to work before the push to sack Liz Truss from office after just serving for an estimated 44 days.

During her short exit speech, she explained how difficult it was to act decisively under such a drastic operating environment.

She also announced that she would step down as the leader of the Conservative Party, handing over to the next in line.
