Coronavirus: Local Government Elections In Ondo State Postponed Indefinitely

The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) has postponed the scheduled Local Government elections in the state till further notice.

The local government elections in Ondo State was scheduled to be held on the 18^th of April 2020 throughout the 18 council area of the state.

This development was announced by the Chairman of the Commission, prof. Yomi Dinakin recently in Akure. This is part of the effort to eliminate the spread of the coronavirus in the state as proposed by the Ondo State Political Action Group (OSPAG). The group stressed that there is need for the state government to tighten all measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Ondo State.
