Ex Liverpool player Sir Kenny Dalglish was admitted in the hospital on Wednesday for treatment of an infection which required intravenous antibiotics. Test was carried out on him and it was discovered that he has contracted the virus, which has stopped all sporting activities in Europe. The 69-year-old former Liverpool and Celtic forward is currently being treated.
Kenny Dalglish is a Scottish man won the Scottish league title four times at Celtic before moving to Liverpool in 1977. At Liverpool he won eight league Championships as a player and manager and three European Cups. Dalglish also won the Premier League as Blackburn Rovers manager in 1995.
The former Celtic forward relaeased a statement in which he said he would like to take this opportunity to thank the brilliant NHS staff, whose dedication, bravery and sacrifice should be the focus of the nation’s attention at this extraordinary time. Before he was admitted in the hospital Sir Kenny had chosen to voluntarily self-isolate himself which he stayed even longer than the advised period together with his family. He is presently receiving treatment and expects to return to his family soon.
