Liverpool Beat Arsenal to Close up on Man City
The visitor’s keeper Alisson saved crucially from Martin Odegaard after Thiago’s misplaced backpass before Diogo Jota put his side ahead, beating Aaron Ramsdale at his near post in the 54th minute.
Portuguese International Conference Diogo Jota who scored the first goal for Liverpool was substituted alongside Luis Diaz and was immediately replaced by Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, the latter doubling their advantage just after the hour mark with a perfect flick from Andrew Robertson’s cross.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have now reeled off nine Premier League wins in succession while Arsenal remains in fourth, a point ahead of Manchester United but with two games in hand. Arsenal still has two games outstanding and is still in the fourth place position one point ahead of Manchester United.
