Nigerian doctor who gave free treatment to injured #ENDSARS protesters have reportedly died from COVID-19.
The young Nigerian doctor identified as Dr. Val was said to have treated injured protesters at the Lekki Tollgate shooting.
He was reported to be among the doctors who volunteered themselves to treat injured people for free. He has now been reported dead from coronavirus few weeks after his heroic act.
Some Nigerians have taken to Twitter to mourn him. It was confirmed by some of Nigerians on the microblogging app that Dr Val and his colleagues attended to injured protesters for free.
The Lekki tollgate shooting occurred on the 20th of October, 2020 where men in Nigerian Army uniform fired at unarmed protesters.
Doctor Val is one of the known Nigerians that have died from COVID-19. Abba Kyari, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and Buruji Kashamu were also reported to have died from coronavirus.
