At Tuesday’s Time 100 Summit, Murphy revealed that he had signed a mega production deal with Netflix. And so far, he’s had no fewer than ten projects get the green-light from the streamer; four series, three movies, and three documentaries.
Initially, five of them were made known to the public, they include; “The Politician” which is going to be an hour-long comedy starring Ben Platt. Also, “Hollywood” is another series which we are to expect from Ryan Murphy. Hollywood is a drama which Murphy refers to as “a love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown”. The features he has on tap include two adaptations of Broadway musicals; “The Prom”, which is set to drop in September 2020, and “The Boys in the Band”, which will also premiere in 2020 and will star Zachary Quinto , Jim Parsons, and Matt Bomer.
Finally, “Ratched” is another show to expect from the genius mind of Ryan Murphy. The show will draw from the nurse from the 1963 novel by Ken Kesey; and 1975 film of the same name. It will star Golden-Globe and Primetime emmy winner Sarah Paulson. These 5 are the only upcoming projects from Murphy whose details has been made public both by Netflix and the actor.
Other fantastic shows that Ryan Murphy is responsible for creating include Nip Tuck, Scream Queens, American Crime Story, 9-1-1 & American horror story. The next season of American horror story is titled “1984” and is expected to debut on FX this fall.
