English Premier League side Leeds United have indicated an interest in Barcelona’s Spanish defender Junior Firpo, who is said to be valued at about 15m euros (£12.8m). The 24-year-old former Real Betis defender is among several sporting director Victor Orta targets as Leeds United looks to start the 2021/22 English Premier League season.
Leeds United Wants Barcelona Junior Firpo
The English Premier League side is not the only club in the market for the Barcelona star. The likes of AC and Inter Milan, as well as Premier League rivals Southampton, have all shown interest in the player as well. Leeds has also been linked with Brest’s 23-year-old Romain Perraud and 26-year-old Huesca’s Javi Galan.
Ezgjan Alioski has been offered a contract to stay at the club, but it is not yet clear whether the 29-year-old North Macedonia international will accept the deal.
The English Premier League will be resuming in August, and Leeds is hoping to do better than their last outing, so they need to sign all the players they can sign. Junior Firpo is the only player the club has made contact with, and it is most likely they will sign him before the transfer window closes.
