Italian Serie A side Lazio has completed the signing of former Spain and Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina from Serie A rivals AC Milan on a two-year deal. The former Liverpool keeper was saving a loan spell with English Premier League side Aston Villa before the end of the season, his loan spell ended at the end of the 2019/20 English Premier League season.
Pepe Reina helped Aston Villa escaped relegation through some vital saves in the short time he stayed in the club, the Spanish shot stopped turned 38 on Monday, he has so far won 36 caps and was a member of Spain’s 2010 World Cup-winning squad. He still wants to play Champions League football but is likely to be Lazio’s second choice behind Albania international Thomas Strakosha, 25.

Pepe Reina moved to the San Siro from Napoli in July 2018 but made only 13 appearances for Milan before joining Villa on loan in January. He played 398 games for Liverpool after arriving from Villarreal in 2005, but left for Bayern Munich in 2014 before spending three seasons at Napoli.
