Italian media has reported some unfortunate and stirring news that a Lazio player dies tragically in Rome, the Italian capital.

Lazio midfielder Daniel Guerini has tragically died at the very young age of 19. It was reported that he died in a ghastly car accident in Rome.

Guerini was a player for Lazio’s Primavera youth team after he joined from Torino in January, while he also previously spent time with SPAL and Fiorentina and representing Italy at Under-15 and Under-16 level.

Reporting the tragic occurrence on Thursday, Lazio tweeted, “Still incredulous and shocked by pain, the President, the men and women of the Lazio Sports Club gather around the family of the young Daniel Guerini.” 

His former club, Fiorentina, also posted a condolence message, saying,

“We are shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Lazio youngster Daniel Guerini, a member of the Fiorentina youth academy in 2018/19 and 2019/20.

“The thoughts of President Commisso and everyone at the club are with the Guerini family at this extremely difficult time.”
