Laycon, winner of the BBNaija lockdown season 5 show has taken to Twitter to expose a fraudster who has been defrauding people in his name.
In a recent tweet, he stated that the person opened a Twitter account with a name that looks like his but with a slight difference.
According to him, the letter ‘L’ in the fraudster’s handle is in small letter while his is in capital letter.
The tweet further stated that many unsuspecting victims have been duped after they had a private chat with the scammer.
“Hey people! This account – – > @itsIaycon (the L is actually a capital ‘i’) has been impersonating me and scamming unsuspecting people. Please disregard any private or public messages from it and report it. Thank you”
Laycon’s handlers have been battling with people impersonating him with various fake social media accounts even while he was still on the show.
His management team sent out messages about a particular fake support group of people sourcing money in the name of voting for Laycon while he was still in the BBNaija house.
Many of his fans have continued to react to the new alarm raised by the BBNaija winner as they have all clamped down on the parody account and its owner.
