President Muhammadu Buhari’s impeachment saga might not be over as a caucus leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kingsley Chinda, has given a fresh update.
The lawmaker said he and some of his colleagues are still sensitizing other members of the National Assembly on the move.
While speaking on a radio programme in Port Harcourt, he stressed that he does not regret calling for President Buhari’s impeachment.
He also added that he is not going to apologise to anyone for his decision.
Chinda however ceased the oppourtunity to reply the Leader of the House, Alhassan Doguwa, who suggested that he should be punished for his stand on the President.
“I owe nobody any apology for calling for impeachment of Mr. President. The leader of the House said that I am speaking for myself and not for the PDP caucus.
“I don’t know who he (Doguwa) is in touch with. The PDP has also come out to say that is the position of the party, and as spokesperson of PDP in the House, is to tow the position of PDP in the House. Why would the majority leader who is very experienced in parliamentary issues be dancing naked in the public?“
The lawmaker stressed that the way Buhari is handling the security of the nation shows that he is incompetent.
