Ahmad Lawan, President of the Senate, recently disclosed some of the details of the Senate meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday in Abuja.
The Vice President met with the caucus of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the form of an Iftar and organized in his private residence at Aguda House within the Presidential Villa, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
While it is no news that VP Osinbajo has announced his intentions to contest in the 2023 Presidential Elections, he seized the opportunity at their meeting to solicit their support for the furtherance of his political ambition.
The main context of their dinner was that the Senate wished Nigerian Vice President a fruitful ambition ahead and hoped that he wins and become the candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
Immediately after the meeting, the President of the Senate shortly briefed the media, notifying them that APC would retain power at the national, state, and local government levels.
