The aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has thrown shades at some Nigerians for raising eyebrows over the recent medical tour embarked upon by the President.
In a tweet, Onochie described those kicking against President Buhari’s decision to visit his doctors in the United Kingdom as wailers, adding that such people have been singing the same song since 2016.
According to the presidential aide, people worldwide see their Doctors once a year, especially ones they have seen for about 40 years.
She stated that Buhari wouldn’t dump his doctor of about 40 years so that wailers can be happy. Onochie recalled that she ran from one media house to the other in 2016, educating Nigerians on the psychology of the bond between a patient and their long-standing doctor.
The Presidential aide further referred to how Buhari went for checkUp in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 before the pandemic. Onochie opined that if Buhari chooses, he will go for checkups in 2022, 2023 and beyond.
Onochie maintained that wailing couldn’t take away the President’s rights to see his doctors, as she advised wailers to get ready for two more years of wailing and fooling around.
