The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu has disclosed that the State’ Executive Council has devised a virtual means of holding meetings.
According to the Governor, governance must continue during the lockdown that was declared as a part of measures put in place to curtail the Coronavirus outbreak.
Sanwoolu disclosed this in a tweet on his official twitter handle as he advised residents of the State to adhere to the sit at home order.
He said “Governance must continue during our COVID19 required lockdown, The Lagos state executive council has moved to virtual meetings that allow everyone to participate at the same time”.
He expressed the commitment to lead from lead by example “We are fully committed to leading from the front, Please #StayAtHomeAndStaySafe.”
In the meantime, Lagos is leading among other States that have recorded the case of people infected with the virus.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Twenty new cases of Coronavirus have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, 4 in FCT, 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo State As at 09:00 pm 30th March, there are 131 confirmed cases of COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 2 deaths.
