Kylian Mbappe Will be Out for Three-weeks

Following the Injury sustained by France and Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, it has been confirmed that he will miss the Champions League quarter-final with Atalanta in Lisbon on the 12th of August. The 21-year-old sustained an ankle injury during their French Cup final against Saint-Etienne on Friday which they won, ruling him out for three weeks.

He could return for the semi-final which comes up on the 18th of August and that will be if they win the quarter-final clash against Atalanta. The club ran a scan on Kylian Mbappe confirmed that his ankle had suffered a sprain and it has affected is external ligament”, the club said.

Paris St-Germain also said: “The player is expected to be sidelined for approximately three weeks.” France international Kylian Mbappe left the pitch in tears after being fouled by Saint-Etienne defender Loic Perrin in the first half of PSG’s victory.
