Kunle Afolayan
Nollywood actor and producer, Kunle Afolayan has remembered his late father, Adeyemi Afolayan via a Twitter post.
The late father, Adeyemi Afolayan, popularly known as ‘Ade Love’ is one of Nollywood’s premier producers. He also played a big role in revolutionizing the Nigerian movie industry.
Afolayan began in his acting career in 1966 and ten years later, he wrote, produced and acted his first ever movie ‘Destiny’. The movie was shown at the ninth Tashkent film for African and Asian cinema.
Other movie produced by Ade Love include ‘Ija Orogun’, ‘Taxi Driver’ and ‘Iyaniwura’.
Kunle Afolayan is one of the sons of the late Adeyemi Afolayan among which is actors Gabriel Afolayan, Moji Afolayan, Tayo Afolayan, and Aremu Afolayan.
Kunle, who took over from his father as a movie producer is arguably one of the best in Nollywood. The producer’s top movie include ‘Figurine’, ‘Mokalik’ , and so on.
The movie-maker took to Twitter to appreciate the late father in a remembrance post. The father who was born out in 1940 died in 1996.
Kunle Afolayan’s tweet reads ”I miss you, Baba mi, but thank you for marrying many wives because I would not have been privileged to be called your son”
The late father, who is also a fashionista is said to marry many wives due to his charming look. Kunle didn’t doubt this as he posted their photo and captioned it ”I know was finer so…don’t rub it in”
