King of Thieves, Nollywood Version, Makes over ₦200m

King of Thieves, the Nollywood version created by movie producer, Femi Adebayo, has reportedly grossed a whopping sum of two hundred million naira (₦200,000,000) in just a month of its release.

It was learnt that Mr. Adebayo, who owns the movie franchise, has been in a celebratory mood following the massive success of his latest project also referred to as Agesinkole in the Yoruba dialect.

The star actor, who has continued to receive accolades from different groups for the originality of the story and costume in his self-produced movie, shared a video where he was seen dancing energetically.

Looking at what the film entails, according to the source, “King of Thieves”, released on April 4, 2022 is an epic tale of ‘Agesinkole’, an all-powerful bandit and his reign of terror in the prosperous Kingdom of Ajeromi.

It was also learnt that the ace actor’s epic action-thriller was to showcase the creativity of the Yoruba culture to the entire world and announce the crop of talents existent in the Yoruba genre.

For those incredible acts that featured in the film include Toyin Abraham, Lateef Adedimeji, Adebayo Salami, BrodaShagi, Femi Adebayo, Segun Arinze, among other A-list actors.

The movie title shares the exact same one as a United Kingdom movie produced in 2018 but has an entirely different storyline from that of Nigeria.
