King of Queens

Share

When I say fight for your rights, dear beauty,
I do not mean that you lose your virtue doing so.
Please hold onto what is yours by nature’s design.

When I ask you to reign in all majesty,
I do not mean that you become a King.
Just strive to be the best Queen there is.

See, you should never measure your relevance
By how much or how well
You can stand up to the Man,
But by how tall you stand amongst other Women.

And whenever you are tempted
To describe yourself as the “King of Queens”,
Remember that you are leaving a vacuum.
