The caretaker chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Mr Olayiwola Adeleke, has regained freedom.
Adeleke was freed with his driver who was also kidnapped on Sunday night.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the development to newsmen on Saturday morning.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Chucks Enwonwu, had on Wednesday said the police were making efforts to rescue them.
