Khalid dropped his second album, “Free Spirit”. It contains 17 songs and lasts just under an hour.

Some of the songs include the previously-released tracks “My Bad,” “Self,” “Better” and lead single “Talk,” written by Khalid and Disclosure. Free Spirit also contains the John Mayer-assisted track “Outta My Head” and “Heaven”.

Khalid will support his new release with the Free Spirit World Tour, the north America leg for which kicks off June 20 in Phoenix, AZ and takes in 32 arena shows before wrapping up Aug. 17 in Miami.

Thiis new album “Free Spirit” shows exactly how his meteoric rise happened and why it is totally deserved.

While it has been quite common for rock stars to infuse bits of R&B into their music, Khalid is one of a growing number of R&B artists drawing inspiration from indie rock.

Khalid’s vocals, from his lower register to sweet falsetto, warm up all the songs and his detail-oriented, personal lyrics always draw the listener in.

With this album, Khalid establishes himself as one of music’s best new artists, following in the footsteps of Frank Ocean and Solange, but creating his own path up both the pop and R&B charts.
