Kai Havertz Wants Bundesliga Exit

Bayer Leverkusen and Chelsea target Kai Havertz have opened up that he will consider a move to any club whether or not they qualified for next season’s Champions League. The 21-year-old Germany international wants to leave the Bundesliga club this summer and has been linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Although he wants to play in Europe’s elite competition, he is still open to play for any club outside of the German Bundesliga, Kai Havertz considers a club’s long-term plan just as important. Chelsea has been on his case for some time now, with Juventus and Real Madrid coming for their both midfielders Ngolo Kante and Jurginho, they believe the player will be the best replacement in the midfield.

Chelsea will host Norwich on Tuesday and are currently third in the English Premier League table leading fourth-placed Leicester and fifth-placed Manchester United with one point. Only the top four will qualify for the Champions League next season after Manchester City’s European ban was lifted on Monday.

Sometimes back Chelsea boss Frank Lampard described Kai Havertz as a “top player” but said, “no bids have gone in”. Havertz is a versatile player who can play also as a forward, has two years left on his contract with the German side but he wants to leave he scored 17 goals in 43 appearances for Leverkusen this season.

His team finished fifth which means they be will missing next year’s Champions League, they were beaten by Bayern Munich in the German Cup final. But they hold a 3-1 advantage over Rangers after the first leg of their last-16 tie in the Europa League, which is set to be played to a conclusion in August. They still have a chance to play in the Champions League if only they will be able to win the Europa League.

Kai Havertz has a very good record as he scored once in seven appearances for the national side. Chelsea has already signed RB Leipzig and Germany striker Timo Werner for a reported £47m this summer. Former Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech has also started training at Chelsea after his £33m move. He is the third player in line for Chelsea to sign.
