Kaduna Governor Announces Ease Of Restriction

The Kaduna state governor, Nasir El Rufai has announced that his administration would ease restriction on Wednesday and Saturdays.

In a post on his verified Twitter handle, the governor said the ease of restriction would be between 8 am to 6 pm.

He said “Restriction of movement in Kaduna State is relaxed from 8 am to 6 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. 

El Rufai who also posted a photo of Quarantine orders on his Twitter handle noted that the persons to be exempted are Health care workers on duty, Security personnel on duty and bank workers engaged in active banking services.

A schedule of exemptions has also been attached to the Quarantine Orders as follows:

Others include Health care facilities, pharmacies and patent Medicine store, the fire service, Tankers conveying fuel, Electricity and water cooperation workers on duty, Truck conveying foods and other approved commodities.

In the meantime, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 195 new cases in the country; meanwhile, Kaduna was not among the list of states with the new instances of Coronavirus.

According to the NCDC, 80 cases were reported in Lagos, 38 in Kano, 15 in Ogun, 15 in Bauchi, 11 in Borno and 10 in Gombe.

Also, 9 cases were reported in Sokoto, 5 in Edo, 5 in Jigawa, 2 in Zamfara, 1 in Rivers, 1 in Enugu, 1 in Delta, 1 in FCT and 1 case was reported in Nasarawa as at 11:50 pm 28th April.

The total number of confirmed cases has risen to 1532, with 255 persons discharged and 44 deaths.
