American singer, Justine Indira Skyers, professionally known as Justine Skye has found her African roots as ancestry DNA shows she has Nigerian roots.
Skye made her name on Tumblr and has since found a career in the music industry. She signed with Atlantic Records at the age of 19.
Asides being a singer, she is also a rapper, model, actress, and dancer. The 25-year-old was born in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York to Jamaican parents Nova Perry and Christopher Skyers. Justine Skye of Afro-Jamaican and Indo-Jamaican descent.
Justine Skye has checked out her ancestry DNA which shows 43% of being Nigerian with the remaining percentages going to several other nations of the world.
Skye’s ancestry DNA was revealed after former boxing heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson on a radio show with singer Akon claimed his ancestry DNA shows he’s from Congo.
Skye’s DNA reads ‘Nigeria 43%, Southern & Eastern Indian 24%, Ireland &Scotland 11%, Benin & Togo 7%, Cameroon, Congo & Southern Bantu 3%, Mali 3%, England & Wales 3%, Ghana 2%, Senegal 1%, Germany 1%, Northern & Western India 1%, and Sweden 1%’.
